Compare like with like
Put each offer in a simple table: profession, location, duties, employment type, working pattern, compensation and currency. Identify what is guaranteed and what depends on conditions. Do not convert currencies using an assumed exchange rate or treat a benefit as cash unless the written offer explains it. Ask the recruiter to clarify unclear wording before drawing conclusions.
Understand the work and support
Ask who you report to, how induction works, what supervision is available and how the team is organised. Discuss the responsibilities and any expectations that differ from your current role. Good questions focus on the actual position rather than assuming every employer in a country offers the same working conditions.
Keep registration and relocation separate
Confirm what professional registration or verification is already complete and what is outstanding. Ask who coordinates the next steps and how the proposed start date depends on them. In the UK, UAE, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Russia, your individual route matters. A recruiter’s plan cannot replace an authority’s decision about a licence or immigration application.
Make costs and commitments explicit
Midora charges applicants no recruitment fees. Regulators, examination bodies, immigration authorities, travel providers or other independent organisations may charge separate fees. Ask for the provider and purpose, and confirm any employer-funded support in writing. Check the offer with an appropriately qualified adviser if you need help interpreting contractual obligations.
Choose your next action deliberately
Record unanswered questions before accepting or declining. Consider the role, development, location and practical support alongside pay. Keep a copy of the current offer and use your recruiter to coordinate clarification. Midora can help you organise the conversation and application journey; the final employment decision remains with the candidate and employer.
